Another Big Day For Sha'Carri Richardson
AUSTIN, TX -- Dallas Carter (TX) senior Sha'carri Richardson claimed her fourth University Interscholastic League (UIL) Championship title on Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
Richardson, an LSU signee, ran 11.12 (+3.6) to take the 100m title. The win marks her third straight 100m title and fourth individual title overall. Her time is a new US No. 1 all-conditions mark for 2018 and is tied for sixth all-time.
Richardson also won her second consecutive 200m state title running 23.02 (+3.6) later on Saturday. She now has a total of five individual state titles to her name. Dallas Carter reclaimed the Class 4A team title scoring 60 points.
