STARTING BLOCKS

Furnish your own blocks

Charlestown has an all weather rubberized track surface, as well as the approach areas to the high jump and long jump. Only running flats or spikes with no more than inch spike will be permitted. Also, Charlestown has a brand new turf football field. No spikes are allowed on the turf field! The discus area is a concrete and is located past the line. The shot put area is concrete and is located on the outside of the track, by the 300m hurdle start.

MEETING

There will be a coaches meeting at the start/finish line at 4:30pm with the meet director.

Charlestown High School

Campus is smoke free

A contestant may participate in 4 events. IHSAA rules apply.

Areas for coaches and teams are to be in the bleachers. Teams may set up camp in the bleachers on either side of field. Do NOT set up on the football field. All coaches and participants are to remain behind the fence unless in an event. Failure to obey this rule, may result in your teams disqualification. Warm-up areas will be on the back side of the track and on the football field. Each school is responsible to see that their athletes do not wear spikes on the bleachers or the football field. With aluminum in our seating area, the wearing of spikes may cause injury to athletes. The wearing of spikes on the turf football field, will cause the field to tear.

SCORING/TIMING

Score will be based on the NFHS Track and Field Rules book scoring of relay events.

FotoFinish will be timing the meet.

Scoring: 6, 4, 2 for ALL events
