Milligan College of Tennessee Adds Olivia Lickwar to Its Roster

The Milligan College cross country and track and field program has announced the addition of Olivia Lickwar of North Judson, Ind., to the 2012-13 signing class. Head Coach Chris Layne made the announcement.

“Since the inception of the program, we’ve strived to recruit student-athletes we believe we can develop at the national level, and Olivia fits what we’re looking for at Milligan perectly,” Layne said. “When you come across someone that wants to be at your institution, it really stands out to us.”

The senior recorded a 10th place finish at the 2012 IHSAA Cross Country Sectional Meet, and recorded a top 20 finish in the prestigious Rensselaer Invitational. Lickwar has a personal best time of 21:32 in the cross country 5K.

In addition, Lickwar will compete in the 800-meters and mile on the track.

Since their inception in 1999, the Milligan programs boast 14 top 25 national championship finishes, 42 All-Americans and over 200 national qualifiers. During the recent cross country season, the women's cross country team captured their 10th straight AAC title and ran to a 19th place finish at the 2012 NAIA Cross Country National Championships.
