The three fastest girls 100mH marks in Indiana this season belong to two sophomores and a junior.
Jordyn Fort of Merrillville ran 13.60 at the IHSAA Sectional on May 19, moving to the top of the Indiana girls 100mH leaderboard. Last year she placed 6th at the Indiana state meet as a freshman in 14.60. She also competes in the 300mH (43.04), 100m, 200m, 400m and long jump - one of the more versatile underclassmen in Indiana.
Jada Harper of New Albany is 2nd at 13.67, run at the Eastern Relays. Harper is also a sophomore, but her track history goes back further than most. In 2024 she won the Indiana MS state 400m (55.32) and 100mH (14.15) as an eighth grader and placed 2nd at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in the 400m in 56.03. Last year as a freshman she won the IHSAA state 300mH in 41.52 and competed at Nike Nationals in both the 100mH (14.26) and 400mH (1:02.70). Her 13.67 from April is still her season best.
Isabella Sotelo of Eastern Hancock is 3rd at 13.69, run at a dual meet against Roncalli. She has placed at the Indiana state meet in the 100mH the last two years - 3rd in 2024 (14.72) and 3rd again in 2025 (14.30).
Adriana Swanson of South Bend Washington is 4th at 13.82, run at the Linton MS meet. Adriene Shaevitz of Bloomington South is 5th at 13.95 from the Conference Indiana Championship. Jai Brown of Pike is 6th at 14.00 from the Pike MIC Girls meet. Harper Gray of Charlestown is 8th at 14.58, run on Apr 7 - a freshman, already in the Indiana top 10. Giyanna Thornton of Kokomo ran 14.59 at her sectional on May 19 to move into 9th.
