TERRE HAUTE, Ind.—Sophomore
Michael Callison finished first in the 5,000 meters to lead the University of Southern Indiana men's track and field team at the Pacesetter Invitational Saturday.
Callison ran the event in 15 minutes, 15.29 seconds as he recorded his second first-place finish of the year.
As a team, the Screaming Eagles had eight top-10 finishes, with sophomore
Garrett Blackman placing seventh in the 5,000 meters. Senior
Clayton Welbourn was seventh in the long jump, while junior
Russell Farris finished seventh in the javelin.

Scott Kern were ninth and 10th, respectively, in the 1,500 meters, while freshman
Aaron Pugh was ninth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Senior
Cole Schroer rounded out the Eagles' top-10 finishers with a 10th-place effort in the long jump.
The Eagles return to action April 28-30 when they compete at the Hillsdale “Gina” Relays in Hillsdale, Michigan. USI competes at the GLVC Outdoor Championships May 6-7 in Rolla, Missouri.
