Jordan, Devine post wins at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—University of Southern Indiana men's track and field sophomores Michael Jordan and Brendan Devine each recorded victories for the Screaming Eagles at the Vanderbilt Invitational Friday night.

Jordan was first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with an NCAA II provisional qualifying time of nine minutes, 14.53 seconds, while Devine won the 5,000 meters with a time of 14 minutes, 56.80 seconds.

Freshmen Kaylee McClanahan and Jordan Mornout were second and fourth, respectively, in the women's steeplechase. McClanahan crossed the finish line in 11 minutes, 14.74 seconds, while Mornout finished in 11 minutes, 46.49 seconds.

USI competes at the Indiana State University Pacesetter Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, Saturday to conclude its weekend schedule.
