OXFORD, Ohio -- Lauren Zeabart and Kelby Jenkins finished eighth and ninth, respectively, in the women's 5K Saturday to lead the University of Evansville cross country team at the Miami Invitational.  It was the second straight team-leading finish for Zeabart, who was fifth overall in last week's Mid-America Opener.

Zeabart came across the line with a personal best time of 19:12, followed one second later by Jenkins.  The Aces also took 16th through 18th places with Lauren Schaftlein (19:52), Melissa Truex (19:53) and Shelby Cron (20:12).  Nicole Kreuzman was 20th in 20:32 and Jaclyn Dippel ended up 21st in 20:34.  Finishing the scoring in 22nd place with a time of 19:52 was Lauren Schaftlein, Melissa Truex 23rd at 19:53 and Shelby Cron 24th with a time of 20:12. Dayton took the first 10 places, led by champion Maureen Bulgrin in 18:26.  Miami was second with 60 points and Evansville was third with 68 in the four-team event.

The Aces compete again Friday at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships, hosted by Purdue University.
