Men’s track records seven top-10 finishes at IU

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana men's track and field team racked up seven top-10 finishes in its 2010 indoor season-opener at Indiana University Gladstein Invitational Friday night and Saturday afternoon at the Gladstein Fieldhouse.

Sophomore Dustin Emerick had a fifth-place finish in the 3,000 meters Friday night to pace the Screaming Eagles. Emerick crossed the finish line in eight minutes, 33.79 seconds.

Senior Andrew Menner finished sixth in the 800 meters, while freshmen Wes Camp and Matt Martin were seventh and 10th, respectively, in the 5,000 meters.

Sophomore Wes Masterson was seventh in the 600 meters, while sophomore Andrew Dixon and freshman Michael Callison finished ninth and 10th, respectively, in the 3,000 meters.

The Eagles return to action when they compete at the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Indiana, January 29-30.
