Former duPont Manual distance star Yared Nuguse broke the American Indoor Mile Record on Saturday at the Millrose Games in New York City at the famed Armory Track Center. Nuguse ran a 3:47.38 breaking the American record by more than two seconds. His time now ranks #2 All-Time just .37 behind the World Record. The record was formerly held by Bernard Lagat
It has been a busy winter for Nuguse, in January he broke the American Record for the Indoor 3000 Meter Run with a 7:28.24. That record was held by Galen Rupp. Nuguse is currently running for the ON Athletic Club.
