    MEET NOTES

WHERE: GATELY INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CENTER

10201 South Cottage Grove Avenue, Chicago IL 60628

In its first year, the CYUP Misfits Invitational produced two US No. 1 indoor performances and 14 Illinois No. 1 performances. This year, the meet looks to surpass those previous achievements. Most athletes will run standard events such as the 200m, 400m and 800m at almost every meet they attend during the season.

While CYUP Misfits offers mostly standard events, the meet aims to give athletes a unique opportunity to compete in some "off" events, namely the 300m, 600m, 1,000m.

This year we will be introducing the 4x200m and 4x400m Relay.

    - No waiver/exemptions needed for IHSA Athletes

    • Illinois High School athletes will not need any IHSA exemptions to compete in the CYUP Misfits Invite. IHSA officials have communicated that athletes can compete in an event as long as the event does not occur 7 days later than when the first practice or tryout has been held by the team. (IHSA By-Law 3.106)

Spectators tickets will be sold online.

Tickets are non-refundable and $15 per person (plus $1.50 transaction fee)

    - Coaches Passes

    • All coaches will receive one free pass for 5 athletestwo free passes for 6 to 14 athletes and three free passes for 15 or more athletes in their packet.
    • Coaches with coaching passes will receive their wristbands in their teams packets.
