"I am incredibly honored to be selected as the Head Coach for the boys for Team Ohio for the Mideast Championships this year. We have a great squad with 2 of the 3 state champions and the DII state champion from track in the 1600. It led to some hard choices to fill out the team with no one making it who ran over 15:45 at the state championships this year."

"I have worked with the team the last several years as an assistant and the experience really is incredible for the athletes. They get to meet the best runners from their state and the other three states and spend a considerable amount of time together while the state coaches associations make sure they are taken care of."

"This leads to a great environment where the camaraderie they develop really is something unique. These young men also get to compete head-to-head with the best of the best from their state and others during the championship season in a way that running a meet with divisions in each state really doesn't offer."

"We will have multiple state champions some of which are from the same state getting to spend 2 days together and sharing a banquet while the members of our team will be able to eat several meals together, run together, and stay overnight together."

"This really is something special for these young men and I am so proud to be asked to help make this happen for them."
