IATCCC Cancels Hoosier State Relays for 2nd Year in a Row

Indiana University has played host to the Hoosier State Relays in the past

For the second year in a row, the IATCCC has had to cancel the Hoosier State Relays, the indoor finals for track and field due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

In a newsletter sent out to association members and posted on twitter, the IATCCC had the following to say about the annual meet that would have been hosted towards the end of March.

"As you may have imagined, hosting indoor meets this spring will be a challenge.  The HSR Finals will once again not be held in 2021. Universities are not allowing use of their facilities as some of you that host qualifying meets may have found as well.  We hope to be back up and running in 2022."

This announcement comes with little surprise across the community as coaches have found difficulty finding venues to host meets of a much smaller scale already with colleges all over the state not allowing outside groups usage of their facilities.

Many athletes are still finding ways to compete despite very limited meets in the Hoosier State. Traveling as far as Alabama just to get a race in.
