2020 IHSAA Regional Previews: 9-12

Regional 10 - Noblesville

Regional #10 at Noblesville is one of the strongest regionals in Indiana this year. Carmel and Noblesville are a big part of that, as they bring two boys teams that can contend for the state title this year. Noblesville dominated the sectional last week, but many of Carmel's top runners did not compete. If the Greyhounds run their best lineup this week, it should make for a thrilling team competition.

Brebeuf Jesuit won their sectional last week, and should have the third best team in this regional. Guerin Catholic and Westfield will have a tight race for fourth, and both should advance. North Central has an outside chance of knocking one of those teams out of the top five, but it would take a great day.

Travis Hickner became the individual sectional champion for Noblesville last week, but may have to contend with Carmel's Kole Mathison this weekend. Hickner and Mathison are both ranked inside the top five in Indiana this season.

Carmel is the favorite to win the girls state championship this year, and should easily handle this regional. Noblesville and North Central will race for second, while Westfield, Cathedral, Pike and Park Tudor fight for the last two transfer spots.

There are eleven girls in Indiana that have run under 18:00 this year, and five of them are in this regional. Park Tudor's Sophia Kennedy, North Central's Ellen Baker, Carmel teammates Annie Christie and Jasmine Klopstad, and Maria Mitchell of Hamilton Heights should have an amazing race on Saturday.

Racing from Noblesville will begin at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
