Earlier today, Lucas Guerra of Highland made his verbal commitment to the University of Georgetown.
Guerra owns PB's of 2:00 (800), 4:17 (1600), 9:06 (3200) and 15:31 for 5K.

Last year, he finished second at the IHSAA Cross Country State Championships and is a favorite to win the title this year. He has won all but one race year this year, that being at the New Prairie Invite where he finished second to Angola's Izaiah Steury.
He will join a Georgetown program that have made the national meet 3 of the last 5 years, the most recent being in 2019 where they finished 28th.
