IHSAA Provides Update Regarding Summer Conditioning

On Wednesday morning, the IHSAA made an official statement regarding summer activities for sports moving forward. With the state superintendent, Dr. McCormick, calling for all schools to be closed through at least June 30th.

Per this latest update, the IHSAA is calling for all school sponsored athletic activities to be suspended through June 30th as well. In addition to this, the IHSAA has suspended the moratorium week that typically falls the first week of July.

This means summer conditioning for Cross Country and any other sport will not be able to begin until at the earliest July 1st, with this continuing through the beginning of August.

These date based decisions are very much subject to change, just as nearly every other matter in our daily lives today. The IHSAA will be following the state guidelines set forth regarding all decisions for school sponsored sports.
