Former Pike Sprinter Lynna Irby Going Pro


Twelve time Indiana state champion, Lynna Irby has officially decided to forgo the rest of her eligibility with the University of Georgia and go pro. She announced Thursday afternoon on her instagram that she will be signing with an agency and pursuing one of her personal goals of going professional on the track. 

 

In just her freshman year of college, Irby managed to score herself a national title in the 400m dash with her first sub-50 at 49.80. This indoor season she took 5th in the 400m with a time of 52.38.

Currently Irby has not announced with what agency she plans to sign with or any further details. As we gain more details we will update this story.
