Ohio's Dustin Horter To Make International Racing Debut Saturday In Scotland

Dustin Horter will represent Team USA at the Great Edinburgh International Challenge.

Ohio's Dustin Horter will officially close his cross country season on Saturday at the Great Edinburgh International Challenge at Holyrood Park in Scotland.  Horter is one of six elite athletes from throughout the country to be selected to compete against Europe's top young runners in the 6K junior men's race.

Horter brings extensive big meet experience with him to Edinburgh; the Lakota East senior has competed at prestigious meets such as Nike Cross Nationals, New Balance Nationals Indoor, New Balance Nationals Outdoor, the Brooks PR Invitational and the AAU Junior Olympic Games, among others.  He is a two-time DI Ohio State Cross Country Champion and the reigning DI Ohio State Indoor and Outdoor 1600m champion.  Horter, who will represent the Indiana Hoosiers when he begins college, tends to do his best racing when he's presented with high level competition.

A report outlining how Horter performs will be posted later in the weekend.  On behalf of MileSplit Ohio, good luck to Dustin at the Great Edinburgh International Challenge!
