INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI Athletics Department and Head Men's Cross Country/Track Coach Chuck Koeppen announced the signing of Isaiah White (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) to a National Letter of Intent to join the Jaguars, beginning this fall. White becomes IUPUI's fourth in-state signee for next season.

White placed 34th at the IHSAA State Cross Country Championships this past season and ran a personal best time of 15:37 last fall. He was regional runner-up his junior season and holds the second-fastest 5K time in Perry Meridian history. Following the season, he ran for the Indiana All-Stars at the Mid East Cross Country Championships in Kettering, Ohio, and was the team's No. 8 finisher (27th overall). He also earned All-Conference Indiana honors last fall.

On the track, White qualified for the state championships as a junior in the 3,200, running 9:26.77 in regionals. He holds Perry Meridian's school record in the 3,200, while having also run 4:27 in the mile and 2:01 in the 800m.

"We're excited Isaiah is planning on joining the program and he's another good kid who fits in well with our guys, just like Breedlove, Guth and Sechuga," IUPUI Head Coach Chuck Koeppen said. "We're excited to get him. He's having a nice track season and is someone we think is going to come in, work hard and continue to get better."
