Hello everyone!

So today was day number 2 in Bydgoszcz.  I’m starting to get an little anxious to race.  Me and tapering do not get along very well.

So I opened up today eating breakfast with some other members of the men’s and women’s junior teams.  That was followed up with a brief team meeting and then we were free to go about our day.

Around noon I went for an easy 10 mile run with Malachy along the riverfront and then into the Bydgoszcz old town, followed by six long strides just to try and get the legs really moving again.  The long travel really saps your legs.  It was really cool to get to run on all of the old cobble stone streets and also a little frightening as the streets were so narrow and windy that several times we both got near to running into other people or run over by cars.  We got back, showered quickly and went to eat lunch.

Following lunch was really a lazy rest of the day.  Malachy and I did walk over to the grocery store and explore some of the polish food products.  I was actually very hard as it was impossible to read anything, and it wasn’t like the employees could help us.  *Fun Fact: 70’s to 80’s American pop music is a favorite of polish businesses*.

Our final event of the evening was dinner, which we again enjoyed with Chris Derek and Elliot Heath.  Luckily, today was of a buffet style so it didn’t involve us having to order a meal (yesterday we waited for 2 hours to get our food).

Guess that’s really all that happened today folks, 2 days to go!
