Carmel Boys Win Lafayette Harrison XC Invitational


Carmel competed in the Lafayette Harrison Cross Country Invitational and ran another steady race to win with 61 points.  Additional teams included Lawrence North (81), Bloomington South (96), Franklin Central (199), Fishers (226), Munster (230), West Lafayette (231), Zionsville (252), McCutcheon (266), Goshen (274), Lake Central (277), LaPorte (297), Warren Central (309), Portage (314), Avon (317), Wheeler (384), Andrean (461), Pike (519), Lafayette Jeferson (526), Highland (549), Harrison (593), Twin Lakes (661), Rensselear Central (720), Kankakee Valley (749) and Benton Central (825).
 
Individual winner was Kyle Banks of Bloomington South with a time of 15:44.51.  Running for Carmel were Corey Turner (9th in 16:12.87), Charles Watson (11th in 16:16.51), Micheal George (12th in 16:18.93), Ben Anderson (14th in 16:23.63), Jaedon Wilson (15th in 16:25.08), Robert Browning (21st in 16:31.78) and Patrick Appleton (61st in 17:14.11).
 
Unfortunately, the Reserve race was cancelled due to the weather.  
 
The Greyhounds will next compete in the Ben Davis Invitational on Saturday September 8th.
