So, even though Mishawaka stubbed its toe in the running events at Tuesday's girls track sectional -- actually, stubbed a lot of toes -- all was not lost.

 

"We didn't perform on the track the way we wanted to, but our field events came through," said Cavemen coach Chris Kowalewski, whose team racked up enough points in the throws and jumping events to claim its first title at Bremen since 1997.
