For the first time since 1953, a Warsaw runner has captured a cross country state title.

Warsaw junior Ashley Erba won the girls race Saturday in Terre Haute with a time of 18:05.6.  Columbia City's Samantha Roush finished seventh.  Concordia's Anna Reibs was 11th.  Abigail Hostetler of Fremont came in 15th.
