8/3/2010 1:38:18 PM

INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's cross country team announced its 2010 schedule for the upcoming fall season. The Jaguars will participate in seven meets, five of which will take place inside state lines. The schedule is headlined by hosting The Summit League Championships at Northview Christian Church in Carmel on Oct. 30.

It marks the first time since 2002 that IUPUI will host the championship meet.

Head Coach Chuck Koeppen's team will begin the 2010 campaign on Sept. 4 at the Dayton Flyer 5K Challenge in Kettering, Ohio before running its next five events inside the Hoosier State. The Jaguars will look for a repeat championship at the IPFW Invitational on Sept. 11 and then take part in the Indiana Intercollegiate in West Lafayette on Sept. 17.

The month of October will open at the Notre Dame Invitational on the first and then at the UE Invitational at the UE Cross Country Course on the 16th. After hosting the league championships on the 30th, IUPUI will enter the postseason at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet in Rochester, Mich. on Nov. 13.

Koeppen's roster is headlined by senior tri-captains Joe Hoffman, Chase Kaufman and Aaron Kremer. Hoffman earned First Team All-Summit League honors a year ago while Kremer was a first teamer in 2007. Other key returners include junior Ricky Warren and sophomore #J.D. Smith#, both of whom were in the lineup for the Jags' fourth-place Summit League finish in 2009. The recruiting class featured four in-state preps including Grand Valley State transfer Dustin Neff.
