INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI women's cross country team announced its 2010 schedule for the upcoming fall season. The Jaguars will participate in seven meets, five of which will take place inside state lines. The schedule is headlined by hosting The Summit League Championships at Northview Christian Church in Carmel on Oct. 30.

It marks the first time since 2002 that IUPUI will host the championship meet.

Head Coach Joni Sanders' team will begin the 2010 campaign on Sept. 4 at the Dayton Flyer 5K Challenge in Kettering, Ohio before running its next five events inside the Hoosier State. The Jaguars will run at IPFW on Sept. 11 and then take part in the Indiana Intercollegiate in West Lafayette on Sept. 17.

The month of October will open at the Notre Dame Invitational on the first and then at the IU Sam Bell Invitational at the Varsity Course on the 16th. After hosting the league championships on the 30th, IUPUI will enter the postseason at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet in Rochester, Mich. on Nov. 13.

Sanders' roster will be keyed by 2009 First Team All-Summit performer Ana Paez and two-time Second Team honoree Brittney McDuffee. The duo shared Team MVP honors this past season and are responsible for eight of the program's 15 fastest 6K's in school history. Freshman Rachel Zajac emerged as the Jaguars' No. 3 runner late in the season and earned the squad's Top Newcomer Award.
