Having that super star frontrunner in Phoebe Bates is their key this year. The lady greyhounds know how to put together their best team when needed so we will see a lot of switching in their top 7 during September as they figure out who to keep up there. Focusing on packing up at a quicker pace will look to be a good factor for this team.

THe Chargers took 2nd by just one point to Carmel at FlashRock this weekend, without Abby Green racing. No one really knows what's going on with Zoe Duffus and if she will even get the chance to race this year. A fully healthy FW Carroll team is one that would be competing for a title at NXR Midwest. Getting and staying healthy is the biggest key to this team.

Zoe Simmons has stepped up this season into that frontrunner role and has helped to give the Braves a good low stick. It's still early and the temps have not been in anyone's favor so once those temps drop we should see their times drop more. Getting into the sub-20's will be important for all 7 of their varsity runners if they want to make a big podium run again this year.

This week WL split their squad, sending the top 7 to KY for the Trinity/Valkyrie Invite, where they placed 2nd to a very good Centerville OH team. The 8-14 that went to New Prairie also pulled off the win there in the girls 2A race.

These girls have been on fire this season. The addition of Elizabeth Stanhope to the XC team has proved to be very helpful. They won the New Prairie Invitational 3A. This team could be a real threat at the state meet. They have conference this weekend, so that will be a good test up against Carmel.
6
Recent transfer Lauren Rhinehart hasn't worn the green Zville uniform yet, which we suspect is because of transfer issues with the IHSAA and not due to injury. The team took 3rd at FlashRock with a lethal 46 second 1-5 spread. People are expecting big things from this team after they got their first ever state title last year.
7
4th in the championship race at FlashRock this weekend. Conference this weekend will hopefully show us what this squad is up to this year.
8
Took the weekend off. Will race in their first HCC conference meet this weekend.
9
Did not race their top 7 this week but placed 3rd in the invitational division with a 46 second spread between the top 5.
10
Took 2nd in the NP Invite 3A race, 2pts behind Pike. Front runner Gilliana, is looking strong and a key factor to this team making it to state.
