Tierra Sydnor Earns 1st AAU Title in the 400m Hurdles

This summer Tierra Sydnor, rising Hamilton Southeastern Senior, decided to give the 400m Hurdles try and it's already proving to be a good move for her. She has only run 3 races and has improved her time each time. At the AAU Region 13 Qualifiers she dropped a 1:06.67, and about a month later at the AAU Junior Olympics, she dropped a stellar 1:01.95. Her time ranks her US #35 this outdoor season. This was her first ever AAU summer. She also competed in the long jump on Monday, but did not have her best day, coming in 22nd and jumping 17'2.75".

Sydnor took 5th in the long jump at the 2018 IHSAA State Meet back in June, jumping 18ft 2in. She was also apart of many of HSE's relays which proved to be an important aspect of them winning the team title. Sydnor has one more season as a royal coming this school year.
