Semira Killebrew Earns Top Finishes at USATF Junior Olympics

Killebrew discusses her summer plans after USA JR's

The USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships finally brought Semira Killebrew's long and successful 2018 outdoor season to a close. The rising senior out of Brebeuf Jesuit earned top finishes in both of her events while competing against some of the nations top athletes in Greensboro.

Killebrew, who does not run for a club team, placed 2nd in the 200 and 1st in the 100 due to her impressive times of 23.73 and 11.59 respectively. She had quality times as well in the semi's of her events, crossing in 23.91 and 11.80. Killebrew will now have a couple months to regroup and begin preparing for her senior season.

Her competition this year will be even tougher though due to top talents stepping into the scene. One of those talents will be incoming freshman, Ramiah Elliott. Elliott currently competes for top Indiana club, Indiana Storm. In the fall she will begin competing for the North Central Panthers. At USATF JO's she boosted top times in the 200 and the 400 finishing 1st in both, clocking times of 23.84 and 54.62.

Elliott is also competing at the AAU Junior Olympic Games this week in multiple events.
