Check out the deepest girls field in IHSA state championship history. Judy Pendergast put on a clinic in demolishing a great field. The Naperville North veteran did not play around with a first mile in a blazing 5:08. She would not slow down at the second mile in a lightening 10:26 at two miles. That time alone would win most state track meets around the country. Pendergast continued to march on and crossed the line in an amazing 15:53.8! 19 girls broke 17:00 and it took 17:05 to make all-state!!
