It's great to be back! XC Season is underway, and it couldn't be more exciting. The first weekend provided us with a number of exciting races. We breakdown what you need to know from the weekend.
1. Christian Noble is the real deal.
Starting with the fastest time of the weekend on the boys side, Christian Noble is the real deal. Seventh at the State Track meet in the 3200m, the Mt. Vernon (Fortville) senior is off to a very impressive fall. He won the Indiana Runner XC Showcase in 16:02 which caught some peoples attention. This weekend he ran a state leading time of 15:50.6 on the Laverne Gibson course, just eight seconds slower than he ran last year at state. His teammate, Aaron Rush, grabbed the second spot in just over 16 minutes. Needless to say, that’s a good 1-2 punch for November, so having that in August is simply incredible.
