The Kokomo High School Lady Kats Track-and-Field Team will host its 2nd Annual "Fast, Relax, Pretty, Smoove" track-and-field camp beginning Monday, June 16-June 20, at KHS Walter Cross Field at 7 p.m.
Lady Kats' Head Track-and-Field Coach K.O. Jackson will lead the week-long camp that is open to ALL boys and girls grade 3 and up.
Using USA Track-and-Field coaching curriculum and standards, the camp will cover ALL track-and-field events up to the 1600-meter run. Coach Jackson is a USA Level II Coach and Level I instructor certified in the Sprints, Jumps, Hurdles and Relays.
Training sessions will typically last one hour and will be held unless dangerous weather conditions exist.
In addition, there are several regional (Noblesville, Huntington) track meets that will be announced later for participants' participation.
The camp cost is $30.
For the last three years, the KHS Lady Kats' Track and Field team has qualified at least one athlete to the indoor-and-outdoor state meet as well as several track-and-field scholarship offers.
